Pentecost and the Upper Room (Womb?) | Ascension to Pentecost

Mary's first and last acts of obedience in the Bible involve waiting. In Day 4 of our Ascension to Pentecost series, we learn the shape of faithful waiting from Mary, the mother of Jesus. Before she was ever called to anything else, Mary was called to yield — to be filled with the Holy Spirit and bring God himself into the world. Her first act of obedience was to wait. And that waiting gave the Son of God a body on earth. Now here she is again in Acts, gathered with the disciples, holding the same posture. The same surrender. But this time, it isn't just Mary who will be filled. It's the whole Church. Through one miracle of the Spirit, Mary gave Jesus a human body.
