The First Pentecost Happened in Eden | Ascension to Pentecost

What if the story of creation is actually the first Ascension and Pentecost? In Day 1 of our 10-day journey from Ascension to Pentecost, we trace a pattern that runs from the very first pages of Scripture all the way to the coming of the Holy Spirit: God ascends to reign, fills his people with his Spirit, and sends them to extend his kingdom. In Genesis 1–2, God brings order out of chaos, establishes his kingdom, and creates humanity as his image bearers — living statues commissioned to spread his life and rule to the ends of the earth. Then he breathes his own breath into them. In Hebrew, that word for breath is the same word for wind — and Spirit. Sound familiar?
